Consulting - Mobile - Relief
To improve the lives of cats in the Athens, Ga., area and beyond by providing targeted care through mobile veterinary services; improving feline welfare through education and training of veterinary practitioners and their staff so they can better serve cats in their communities; and support veterinary practices directly through relief services and feline case consultations.

We know that cats are often stressed at the veterinary hospital, and because of this, often go without care until they are severely ill.
At Classic City Kitty, we aim to repair the relationship that cats have with veterinary care by taking the stress out of the situation through mobile services for cat families and through advanced training of veterinarians and their staff.

Dr. McBride is the owner/operator of Classic City Kitty. She first moved to Athens, Ga., in 2006, to pursue her undergraduate degree in Journalism, and has considered Athens home ever since. After a short career as a photojournalist in North Georgia, she returned to UGA in 2015 to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 and has been a feline-focused veterinarian in a variety of roles since that time. After completing a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Bluepearl Veterinary Partners in Tampa, Fla., Dr. McBride began serving the cats of Tampa Bay as a general practitioner at The Cat Doctors of South Tampa. Driven by her love of teaching and research (and desire to return to Athens), she returned to her alma mater in 2021 to join the clinical faculty at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine as a feline-focused primary care clinician. In this role, she helped develop the feline curriculum for current vet students and served as the advisor to the UGA student chapter of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association (FelineVMA). She remains active with this chapter and in feline education for UGA veterinary students.
Driven by the needs of veterinarians and cat parents in the Athens community, Dr. McBride was lead to open Classic City Kitty in the spring of 2025 to provide a broader range of services and feline education to a broader population.
Dr. McBride currently serves on the board of the FelineVMA and is in active pursuit of board certifcation in Feline Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). She remains an avid researcher with published and ongoing projects on feline stomatitis, education, kidney disease, and gastrointestinal disorders. Outside of professional hours, Dr. McBride can be found enjoying time with her daughter, five cats, a Great Pyrenees mix (who thinks he's a cat) named Kirby Smart, and attending Georgia football games with her family (Go Dawgs!).
She looks forward to serving your practice or cat family soon!

Keylee is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Fear Free Veterinary Professional (FFVP), Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional (CFVP), and a proud crazy cat lady! She has worked in veterinary medicine since 2015, and earned her degree in Veterinary Technology from San Juan College and is licensed through the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine.
Keylee has spent most of her career in small animal general practice, with some brief time spent doing emergency work on the weekends. She soon realized she had a huge passion for cats and feline medicine.
Keylee loves all things feline and plans to pursue her VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialist) in Feline Clinical Practice. She's deeply passionate about advocating for her patients and creating Fear Free visits so kitties can receive the gentle, loving care they deserve.
Pictured with her is her husband, who has been her best friend for over 11 years. They share their home together with two dogs and three cats who definitely keep them on their toes!
Outside of work, Keylee enjoys spending time with her husband in his fishing boat and spending time with friends and family. She's a huge college football fan and you can find her cheering on her favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs, every Saturday during college football season.
Keylee cannot wait to meet your kitty and develop a trusting, long, lasting relationship with them and their owners.
